DICE post Battlefield 3 beta stats

The multiplayer beta period for Battlefield 3 has ended and to celebrate DICE have posted some statistics for us, like how over 47 billion shots were fired.

Only (only?) 1.5 billion kills were registered though, so there was some questionable accuracy. 635.6 metres was the longest headshot recorded.

Over 8 million gamers logged into the Battlefield 3 beta. "Did you know that if we had an empty 9mm casing for every shot fired in the Open Beta, we would have enough brass to melt and build almost 3,900 SU-27 Flanker jets?" posted the Battlefield blog.

Battlefield 3 releases on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC October 25th in the US, 28th in EU.

I haven't participated though i used to be super hyped about the game.

What's the story with Origin have things become any clearer? I mean regarding all the spying after you that Origin is supposed to be allowed to do?

Origin isn't really any better than before. They just took out some things that made it obvious they were spying. Now it's more subtle.

Well i guess that means i'll probably pass :(.

I might just dual boot and have a clean partition just for EA games while hiding all other drives. I can't think of any other easy way out. Virtual box is not useful for games so that is out.

If someone has any ideas i'll be happy to steal them :)

"635.6 metres was the longest headshot recorded."
Haha - I was killed by a shotgun from 47m (bloody big barrel perhaps).

The stats were all messed up during the beta phase (I got 5 kills recorded once while shooting only one guy). So I wouldn't put too much faith in them.
