Details of SEGA's Yakuza 5 have spilled forth from Japanese magazine Famitsu, and it continues on from Yakuza 4, ignoring the undead-infested Yakuza: Of The End spin-off.
Kazuma Kiryu returns are the main character and five locations are planned and all are described as 'large'. The game engine has been kicked up a notch with seamless transitions.
Loading times have been beaten down, the camera has had adjustments, transitions between adventure and battles are virtually painless and character models are more handsome.
Tokyo, Fukuoka, Osaka, Sapporo, and Nagoya are the five locations of Yakuza 5. Series creator Toshihiro Nagoshi heads up the new SEGA development team Yakuza Studio and as of August the game's production was said to be in the early stages. Yakuza: Dead Souls, aka Of The End, arrives in the West during March, 2012.
