Rumours are circulating that Cryptic Studios will be revealing their own online Star Trek game come July 27th. A title with a similar brief was being developed by Perpetual Entertainment, but the project was cancelled when the team was laid off. It had been reported that the title had been transferred to another studio, which brings us back to Cryptic. A countdown timer has appeared on Cryptic's official website that uses a piece of Perpetual's Star Trek Online concept art as a background image. According to CVG the countdown will expire on July 27th. Until then, we just have to wait and wonder.  | |

It would be much nicer if someone introduced a SW MMO! |

They have, remember SW: Galaxies? That MMO that is literally a universe of empty planets with Quests such as "Climb to top of dune". It was a dud, and I don't see this being much better. No ST game has done very well. |

Well, the SW MMO must have gone bad, cause I didn't hear from it in a while, when I said SW MMO I meant something serious like WoW or Conan. Too bad such a good title is ruined by stupidity of the dev team... lame. |

Still, a Starcraft MMO is looking quite possible, even likely. That one should see a huge following. Go the Zerg! |
