| Blizzard team will "face immense pressure" for console Diablo III | |

A secret source, that being a human not a delicious dip, has told videogaming247 that Blizzard will likely get some heat from Activision to develop for console.
It's unlikely ever to be a direct order though as Blizzard is far too influential themselves. A console outing for Diablo III seems improbable given their staunch support for PC. "Blizzard will face immense pressure to produce a console version of Diablo III," the source spills to videogaming247. "If Kotick says, ‘We can sell 10 million units of a console version’ - and he will, because they can - it’s an obvious situation. Money talks. You could be looking at nearly half a billion dollars in revenue." "That said Blizzard is in a unique position. Very few people have any sway over them at all." Blizzard themselves have already shot down in flames any notion of a console version, in fact any notion of any console development for any game ever. They reaffirmed their allegiance to the keyboard and mouse during their Blizzard Worldwide Invitational in Paris, including some criticism of Microsoft for pandering to their console too much. "If they disagree," said Wedbush Morgan’s analyst Michael Pachter, "I think Activision will defer to their judgment. However, I do expect the companies to engage in friendly dialogue on matters such as these, because all have the same goals." You shall not pass... that boardroom motion! | |

Blizzard guys please, don't tire yourself by making a console version of the game! Just finish the PC version earlier! |

I don't mind them making a console version, as long as they don't attempt to streamline coding and make the PC version suffer for it. |

Although I would rather they just be true to their roots and remain PC only. |

I don't see Blizzard doing this off their own bat, however with the merger with Activision who are very console-minded, there might be some pressure brought to bear. |
