Initial reports are coming in that the sporadically released title update for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim on PlayStation 3 has 'fixed' the troublesome lag issues for long play times.
The issued occurred when save game files exceed certain sizes, which then crippled gameplay as it began stuttering and lagging more over time rendering it unplayable for most.
Europe and Australia have the PS3 title update although the US seems to not have it just yet. The Bethesda forums say it comes at 92MB. This week patches are due for all versions.
The Xbox 360 version of Skyrim suffers from lag if it’s installed on the hard drive, which is an optional process for all Xbox 360 games now. Uninstalling it and running from the DVD seems to keep it from jerking about after a long play session. The PC version of the game has escaped most problems except for the odd thing now and then.
Have you been eagerly awaiting Bethesda's patch this week for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim?
