|Fallout 3 developer "disappointed" with Diablo III 'conservatism'|

Posting on his personal blog, Bethesda's Fallout 3 producer Ashley Cheng has voiced his lamentations over Blizzard's "conservative side" on Diablo III and StarCraft II.
He hails the doubtless success they'll receive saying they'll be "incredibly fun, addictive and polished games." Some Blizzard fans seem to have taken this as an 'attack'.
At least this wasn't a Treyarch Noah Heller incident. While the comment may seem innocent and just generally observational he's already added an amendment to :

Diablo III announced. Nice. It looks pretty amazing, especially the gameplay video. Loved the destructible environments.
I must say I am disappointed that Blizzard has stayed on the conservative side in terms of design with their updates to Diablo and Starcraft. Diablo will be interesting since World of Warcraft has a lot of Diablo-like qualities. I have no doubt, however, that they will be incredibly fun, addictive and polished games. Blizzard is the top of the class when it comes to game development - nobody does it better.
In fact, World of Warcraft is currently banned from any computer I own due to its highly addictive qualities. Its easily one of my favorite RPGs.
I know they are working on another Massively Multiplayer Online (MMO) game. I hope its World of Starcraft.
Personally I agree that Blizzard has been conservative about both Diablo III and StarCraft II's design and I'm rather pleased they have - it guarantees a world class game in both universes.
Perhaps Cheng's mistake was to title his blog post "When the ship runs out of ocean"? That seems to have been read as 'Blizzard kills puppies with decrepit ideas' by some of the .
