Electronic Arts has registered a bevy of domain names, all of which are related to Command & Conquer.

The domains include:

alliances-commandandconquer.com
alliancescommandandconquer.com
candcalliances.com
candctiberiumalliances.com
commandandconquer-alliances.com
commandandconqueralliance.com
commandandconqueralliances.com
commandandconquertiberiumalliances.com
generalsalliance.com
generalsalliances.com
redalertalliance.com
redalertalliances.com
tiberianalliances.com
tiberiumalliance.com
tiberiumalliances.com

It seems that the operative word is "Alliances", but the names don't indicate whether the game will be a Red Alert, Generals or Tiberian title. It's probably to cover their backs, but also to hide which storyline the game will follow. Odds are Red Alert or Generals, since the last C&C game was Tiberian Twilight.

I'm afraid, after pruchsing and playing both "RA3" with it's standalone EP I was less than impressed with the dreadful graphics and comical borders around selected units. Yes, the oceans looked good, but that was it for me. The over-complicated secondary funtions with the units just made the game messy....IMO.
"C&C4" took it a few steps further an basically lost the "C&C" fanbase.
What will they think of next to bring a possible Phoenix to the stage?

C&C3 I thought was decently good actually. Not as good as generals, but decent enough.

Now C&C4...words cannot describe the fail!....Oh, apparently they can :)

I meant "RA3" (corrected in post). I agree that "Generals" is in a class of it's own (and meant many an upgrade for many a gamer) but "C&C3" was and still is excellent, especially with the "Tiberium Essence" mod.
