Rumor: Battlefield 2143 teased in Wake Island map of BF3
Posted: 02.01.2012 05:15 by Comments: 8
One of the new Battlefield 3 maps, Wake Island, has an interesting little Easter Egg - in one corner of the map, the number 2143 is stenciled on the side of a metal structure.

Veteran Battlefield gamers may remember that the same type of Easter Egg appeared in Battlefield 2: Armored Fury, where the number 2142 was found on one of the maps. That Easter Egg appeared weeks before Battlefield 2142 was announced. Will history repeat itself?

Let us know if you'd be interested in a new Battlefield game with a futuristic setting.

Tricky. The rumour has been around for some time that "BF 2143" might be coming as a EP for "BF3", and I wouldn't rule that out. Unless a team have been working ona full-fledged release concurrently with "BF3" I'd say that's how it will appear.
It's the Titan Mode that everyone that's played "BF 2142" is after, and would fit well as a EP.

You'll play it, Kres...I'll bet you. Titan Mode was pretty good.

The previous one was nice I would not mind a sequel. I'm sick of Middle East already.

Well yeah a bit dull using the medieval scenery all the time. Hm I'm not sure really. I will probably at least give it a go Herod. Titan mode was sweet. But so was the commander feature on BF and they removed that in 3!

I do agree about the Sci-Fi etting, though. That really only worked for me with "C&C: Renegade". It was the Polar setting I liked with "2142"....the vehicles were rubbish.
