Following up on the release of The House of the Dead: Overkill for the PlayStation 3, Sega has announced that The House of the Dead 3, a former Xbox console exclusive, and The House of the Dead 4, which was only released in the arcades, will be coming to PlayStation Network, and will use the Move motion controller. Both games will also feature HD graphic upgrades.

The House of the Dead 3 will be released on the 7th February. The game introduced a number of new elements to the series back in 2002, including “rescue events,” a shot ranking and grading system that challenges players to shoot both quickly and accurately, and a Boss “cancel” bar that players must fill to fend off devastating attacks. The third game was originally to feature cel-shaded zombies, but fan outcry caused Sega to reconsider and utilize "realistic" zombies.

The House of the Dead 4 was exclusively a coin-op arcade game, released in 2005, and added hidden “treasure rooms” that contain score-boosting items, as well as interactive sequences that force players to push away grabby enemies. It is due to be released on PSN sometime in the Spring.
