It's a great game, with an excellent story and good Ladder battles. Anyone with a console and without this in their collection is really missing out.

This is one of the only reasons why I would want to purchase a console. I am a huge fan of the Mortal Kombat series, and have been missing out since Deadly Alliances.

I bought the PS3 version for my son for Christmas (an import as it is banned here) and he's loving every minute of it. He particularly is enjoying the stories and back stories, for example just why Scorpion and Sub-Zero became mortal enemies. I used to play "MK" in the arcades so am fairly up on it's history, but it's good to see the game go back to it's roots for this entry.

I did some research on most of my favourite characters, especially Scorpion, so I know the stories quite well as well.

I started off with Mortal Kombat on Nintendo TV games, and then went over to Mortal Kombat 4 (one of my top games back then), and then downgraded to Mortal Kombat Trilogy (Still the most difficult MK I ever played).

I was hoping that the new one would be for PC, but I don't see anything like that happening soon.
