Blizzard confirms Diablo III coming to consoles

Blizzard community manager Micah Whiple has confirmed that Diablo III will indeed be coming to consoles, and that lead designer Josh Mosqueira is heading the project.


The confirmation came via Twitter, as a gamer asked Whiple if Blizzard really was working on a console version, to which the community manager bluntly replied, "Yup. Josh Mosqueira is lead designer for the Diablo console project."

No more information has been released regarding the console version of Diablo III.

Doubt it. They implied that they worked on the PC version, and will port it to the console.

Looks like I'll be purchasing a couple of copies of "DIII" now, one for pC, one for PS3. Damn you Blizzard, my wallet aches after Christmas.

One for me, one for my son. He will probably buy the PC/Mac version for his Mac (or I will in all likelihood) unless he chooses to go for a PS3 version. Then of course one for the PC for myself.

Great idea. On my side, there will be two copies as well. One for me that will be Collectors Edition, and then once for my younger brother, probably Standard Edition.
