August 30th is the official birthday for Ryu and his brawling counterparts. Details about how Capcom will be celebrating with fans will be unveiled later in the year. Expect a cake, at least. For 25 years Ryu has "wandered the globe in search of the perfect battle," and now Capcom must have an "international celebration" worthy of that dedication to violence. "Can you believe Ryu has been throwing fireballs and scarring chests for a quarter century?" posted Capcom. "For 25 years Street Fighter's iconic hero has wandered the globe in search of the perfect battle, and to commemorate his quest - not to mention the millions of fans who've followed him every step of the way - we're preparing some big plans for 2012." The 25th anniversary logo is beneath. The next instalment is Street Fighter X Tekken, out March 9th. Source: Capcom-Unity Related games: | |
