The digital chart for retailer Amazon has Square Enix's Deus Ex: Human Revolution wearing the 2011 crown, with Battlefield 3 coming 2nd. EA also claimed 3rd and 4th.

In the physical chart - surprise, surprise - Activision's Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 sat upon the throne, followed by Just Dance 3 and The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. No Deus Ex.

Modern Warfare 3 managed 8th place in the Amazon digital chart, but was beaten by Sid Meir's Civilization V, Dead Island and Total War: Shogun 2. It was the only Call of Duty.

Well the price was good, around $5 if memory serves and this no doubt was the clincher for many. Of course without a US address I could not take advantage of the Amazon Digital Sales, but did well elsewhere. "FEAR 3" for under $4.50 was a bargain.
