I have never heard of that man...should I have?

He was in the movie "Wing Commander", "I Know What You Did Last Summer" and "Scooby Doo", where I met him on location (I was a nurse on set). The guy works hard on his voice work for films, and other voice work as his native accent makes him hard to understand. When he and Sarah Michelle Gellar got talking off-camera you couldn't decipher a word they were saying.
He's pretty good, though the forced low voice makes him sound a bit like Keanu Reeves.
I'm surprised you never saw "Wing Commander", Roderick. Though by no means a great film (and critically bashed) it's still worth watching.

He's also the son of Freddy Prinze, who was the star of Chico and the Man - and then committed suicide.
