Tension as Activision/Vivendi Merger Approaches Completion

Activision shareholders are due to vote today on whether to approve the proposed merger with Vivendi. The deal would create the world's largest games publisher and Wall Street has tipped the new company to make a profit.

However, news of internal tensions in both camps is rife this week with Videogaming247 reporting a senior source as saying “Activision is calling the shots...and two doesn’t go into one.”
GamersGate is a platform for downloadable PC games.

avatar If this is approved, and it will be, then the Activion/Blizzard Publishing group will have consolidated it's hold on the largest part of the gaming development industry. The future of Sierra, publishers of Vivendi is not so certain after this merger ...
