THQ "actively seeking a partner" for Dark Millenium Online

Publisher THQ has announced during its investor call that they're "being realistic about our resources" and won't be funding the Warhammer 40k MMO all by themselves.

They want a company to partner with them to share the burden of cost. Darksiders' Vigil Games is making Dark Millenium Online alongside Relic Entertainment.

Q3 earnings for THQ were weak after U Draw failed to entice the Xbox 360 and PS3 crowd. CEO Brian Farrell announced that they're left with little choice but to let someone else on board.

"Because of the large financial commitment and associated risks, we are being realistic about our resources and we are actively seeking a partner for this compelling new MMO. We will keep you updated on our progress," Farrell told investors. No release window has been laid out for Warhammer 40,000: Dark Millenium Online.

Turbine. They're experts at free-to-play MMOs (D&D Online, Lord of the Rings Online), and produce a high quality product.

Avoid NCSoft at all costs.
