Gears of War 2 Release Date Revealed?

The splash page on the official Gears of War website may reveal the upcoming sequel's release date. The page features an image of a hand holding dog tags sporting the number '033-116-117-126-071'. Now, according to the clever folks at Kotaku, this translates to 'ESC-N-O-V-9' in ASCII octal values. We'll take their word for it.

So are we set for a November 9th release? Well, it seems doubtful given that the 9th falls on a Sunday, but we expect more to be revealed at E3 next week. Stay tuned.
