You may remember that since leaving Microsoft Game Studios, Halo creator Bungie is now shacked up with publishing giant Activision on an all-new IP universe. It's going great.

Well, that's what PR shamans tell us. Bungie has a "genre-defining new IP" which will prove to be one of Activision's "key strategic growth pillars". It'll be fun too, I imagine.

Virtually nothing is known of Bungie's new super secret project other than it's meant to be a big wide universe of an IP, much like Halo became.

"We continue to lay the foundation for our new universe from Bungie, one of the world's best developers," proclaimed Activision during an earnings call. The studio doesn't own the Halo IP as Microsoft retains control.

"Bungie continues to make incredible progress on what we expect to be a genre-defining new IP that will provide us with tremendous new opportunities, and which remains one of our key strategic growth pillars for the future." Bungie in their deal with Activision will keep ownership of this new intelletcual property, unlike with Halo.

Are you giddy with excitement at Bungie's new project, video gamer?

It would be good to see something new and fresh coming out of the production orifice of Activision aside from the diarrhoea of "CoD".

It is something new - it is Gloria - a world that is like Halo, except this time it is inside and you have Master Chef... yeah he can DOTA his way through hordes of - Baserapers! yeah that is fresh... everyone hate those and er...

Well, it is certainly nice to see that in today's business you can presume a lot of things, including sales etc... ;)
