Mass Effect 3 on PC "does not support controllers," says BioWare

Sorry game pad wielding PC junkies, but BioWare's Mass Effect 3 isn't giving you the time of day - officially at least. The PC version will not natively support game controllers.

Keyboard and mouse is where it's at for PC Mass Effect 3, much like it was with the previous titles. They "may or may not work," but BioWare doesn't officially support them.

None of the Mass Effect games on PC have supported game controllers and the same goes for Dragon Age. BioWare is adamant they've all been tailored to meet the needs of PC.

"The PC version does not support controllers," wrote BioWare's Chris Priestly. "They may or may not work, but they are unsupported by the game." Mass Effect 3 releases on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC March 6th in the US, 9th in Europe.

Well that's a plus. PC games should always be played with your chair in the upright position, screen 4-5 feet from your face, hands on keyboard and mouse. This lazing around on sofas button mashing is for gaming delinquents....and closet console junkies:)

Sloppy, they are doing the controls anyway so why not implement them? The strength of the PC is that it is what you decide it is. Be it living room gaming on the big screen or portable playing on computer or your game-cave enjoyment... the PC is your friend.

This is also BioWare/EA being greedy. To play using a controller you have to buy the console, version. Solution, thinks EA with dollar signs in their eyes is this. Then gamers who like using a controller will buy a copy for each system.

I don't care if they put in controller support for games, IF you have the option to turn controller support OFF. Sick to death of having to unplug my joystick to play "B:AA" and "B:AC". Easy to implement in the options menu, but lazily ignored many times by devs.
