Warner Bros. Interactive has announced that Turbine's free-to-play MMO expansion Dungeons & Dragons Online: Menace of the Underdark will be released on the 25th June. The expansion will focus on the evil Drow and their spider goddess Lolth.
The expansion will include three new Adventure Packs including The King's Forest, where players will explore deep into the King’s Forest and defend the village of Eveningstar from Lolth’s Drow legions; The Underdark, where adventurers will confront Lolth’s elite followers in the Drow city of Sschindlyryn; and The Demonweb, where gamers can finally journey to Lolth’s home plane in this Raid quest, where they will battle demon hordes and confront the spider goddess herself in an attempt to stop her scheme.
Also available are Epic Destinies, where players can obtain epic enhancements via progression from levels 20 to 25.
Gamers who purchase either the Collector's or Standard Pre-Purchase Editions will get access to the Druid Class and the Eveningstar Challenge Pack which includes new challenge quests for levels 15 to 25. They will also get free pets including the Druid's Wolf Pup and the Demonweb Spiderling, an Elite Spider Cult Mask which gives a poison resistance buff as well as a stat buff.
