Bethesda: Doom 4 not canceled

A rumor that id Software's next Doom title, Doom 4, had been canceled has been shot down, as Jim Reilly of Game Informer tweeted that Bethesda Softworks told him the game hadn't been axed.

 
Reilly's tweet simply stated, "Bethesda says Doom 4 is not canceled."

The rumor originator, All Games Beta, had posted a series of screenshots the site claimed were leaked from the game.

Doom 4 is being developed for PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, and will be using id's new tech, the id Tech 5 engine.

The scene doesn't remind me of DOOM... unless of course the game is going to play off like DOOM II where you are in the cities, and then eventually enter hell.

Either way, I hope that they won't cancel this title... I am very much looking forward to this game.
