Gearbox Software has announced that the PC version of Borderlands 2 will feature Steamworks in both retail copies and digitally distributed versions.  This will include Steam Achievements, DLC, auto-updating, matchmaking and Steam Cloud support. Borderlands 2 will be released on PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in North America on the 18th September, with the worldwide release following three days later on the 21st.
