Design director Matthew Hooper of id Software has sent down a message from high Olympus to mere mortals to discredit those alleged leaked images from Doom 4 - which isn't cancelled.
The studio is still feverishly working on a new hell for us to blast through. When they "officially show things, you’ll see awesome." Fans "will be happy" with the game.
Let's hope fans don't get whipped up into a Rage about it - see what clever writing technique I utilised there? Matthew Hooper twittered to fans to help cool off the Doom community.
“Those images have nothing to do with what you’re gonna see in Doom 4," he . “When we officially show things, you’ll see awesome,” continued Hooper. “When we officially show things, fans will be happy.”
Fans of id Software were left bewildered and scared that apoco-shooter Rage didn't quite live up to the usual lofty accomplishments of the shooter veteran studio. Numerous technical issues plagued the game mostly centred on its method of handling textures, which made it often appear inferior in the visual department.
