Ubisoft hasn't revealed any details about the multiplayer mode for Assassin's Creed 3, but a Xbox.com product page lists a co-operative mode for up to 4 players.

Brotherhood and Revelations were the first titles in the franchise to feature standard multiplayer modes for 2 – 8 players, which will return in Assassin's Creed 3.

Assassin’s Creed III is powered by Ubisoft-AnvilNext, a new game engine that promises to deliver breakthroughs in visual quality, character models and artificial intelligence when the game launches for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC on 31st October.

We've left a message with Ubisoft to see if we can confirm anything.

Me too, co-op is great.
I wonder how it's gonna work though, will the campaign itself be co-op or are there going to be separate missions.

Assassin's Creed Co-op... this can be loads of fun, but it also crossed my mind about how much fighting there will be about who kills who xD
