Following our string of live updates, we give you Microsoft’s announcement of a new interface coming this Autumn for all 360 users.

Dubbed the “new xbox live experience”, this new interface will be modelled along similar lines as the expected PS3 ‘Home’ system.

The new interface will include ‘Avatars’ (more realistic looking Mii’s), video and picture sharing, along with a load more community based options.

Amongst the host of new social networking features, Microsoft will be introducing “Live party”, a system where a group of people can join a party, and interact and chat together via XboxLive no matter what they are doing.

Along with this new update, there will be support for user-generated games created via the downloadable development kit.

Other features will include:
An exclusive deal with Netflix
Live sharing of Movies and TV, so your Live Party can watch it at the same time as you
Game shows
New Arcade titles including Uno, Geometry wars 2 and Portal
A new look for the Dashboard

We’ll bring you more news as we get it.

All well and good if you're happy with the whole "Live" setup. Looks like they're trying to play catch-up to Sony, and noone's yet sure how the 'Home' system is going to be received yet.
