Resident Evil creator Shinji Mikami's new studio, Tango Gameworks, is now owned by Bethesda Softworks and it's up to 65 employees but he wants more. It shouldn't exceed 100 though.

A heavily modified external engine is powering Mikami-san's new game, but he wouldn't divulge what. Does external include other ZeniMax-controlled studios? No game details yet.

Beyond 100 employees, communication and responsibility begin to strain within a developer, noted Shinji Mikami. ZeniMax Asia's GM reckons it'll be big in Japan.

Toru Takahashi wants Tango Gameworks title to be Bethesda's greatest hit in Japan yet. While The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim cleared 200k to 300k copies, he wants somewhere between 500k and a million. Shinji Mikami directed Vanquish from PlatinumGames before forming his new studio, and co-created Shadows of the Damned.

Mikami-san has sworn this will be his last video game as director - he wants young blood to lead. Let's all hope that whatever comes out of Tango Gameworks it's worthy of such an iconic industry veteran.
