Based on Robert Kirkman’s comic book series, The Walking Dead is an episodic Adventure Horror game series set during the same apocalyptic period witnessed by Sheriff Rick Grimes. Instead of playing as Rick Grimes, Telltale Games, the developers, have decided to put you in control of a new group of survivors with the main character named as Lee Everett. You will still bump into characters from the comic series like Glenn and Hershel, but this will mainly be about a new set of people with their own stories. According to a report from Siliconera, Telltale Games are planning to develop at least five episodes for The Walking Dead video game. The second episode is titled "Starved for Help," chapter three is "The Long Road Ahead," chapter four is "Around Every Corner," and chapter five will be called "No Time Left". "We’ll rarely give you a level where you blast through and have a horde of zombies attacking," said CEO of Telltale Games Dan Connors. "It’s more like the franchise itself where people don’t usually go on zombie killing sprees, but you do have to take out zombies in different contexts. In one of the scenes, there is a character stuck in a motel room. They’ve boarded themselves in and there are six or seven zombies on the scene. You need to stealthily go around and take out each zombie before the other zombies recognize there. That would be a situation where we would use a stealth and attack mechanic." The Walking Dead will be released for PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in 2012. | |
