Continuing our coverage of Sony’s E3 press conference, it has been revealed that Sony’s up-and-coming videostore service will be live tonight.

CEO Jack Tretton talked about the new service during the conference, and revealed a new movie and television service from studios such as Sony Pictures, Fox Film, Lionsgate, Disney, Paramount, Turner, and Funimation.

It will feature competitive prices, rental and purchase options, progressive downloading so you can watch as you download, HD and SD content plus PSP integration.

The service will go live later tonight after the conference.
GamersGate is a platform for downloadable PC games.

avatar Looks good. Be interesting to compare with what's available for the PC (many on-line stores) and what M$ is readying to launch for the 360.

avatar I hate to say this but, the netflix deal with MS is something I am looking forward to, shame that the Playstation didn't follow that path, I really like the Idea of watching netflix content in my theater room rather on my PC.

avatar Still, those of you who don't have a broadband connection, or have limited download wont be able to enjoy this.
