Card manufacturer nVidia and EVE Online publisher CCP have announced a new offer in which players of the space sim MMO can buy the GTX560 high-end graphics card with in game currency.

The card will cost a mere 20 PLEX, which includes shipping, but there is one catch: only 100 cards will be available at first (one per account). nVidia may expand the offer if it works out.

A registration pop up will appear with the offer at the official site here.

Nice promotion, too bad it's not for one of the games I play.

Thats probably an advertisement to making people creating accounts on EVE to win the card.

But I've got to say that it would be cool to win one.

I wouldn't think a new player would be able to make nearly enough credits to get one of these in a short enough time. This obviously is a publicity stunt but it rewards older players not the new ones.

Only specially selected players are getting the offer. It isn't just anyone. My guess is that there's a range of factors in deciding who is eligible, and length of service is one of them.
