Microsoft and INis' sing-along Lips videogame has elicited quite the attention with its ability to absorb music from iPods, Zune or the Xbox360 hard drive.
At the moment those Lips are sealed on pricing for DLC and what the price tag will be at the stores. The game is coming with two motion-sensitive peripheral microphones. Speaking with Eurogamer, Keiichi Yano of INis, did comment that whatever the cost of the DLC it "will be competitive", which presumably he's talking about Sony's Singstar. He said that aside from the music you'll be able to download videos and "other stuff", whatever that is. They hope to have 40 songs on disc by its launch date with Peter, Bjorn & John's "Young Folks", Duffy's "Mercy" and Young MC's "Bust-A-Move" the only songs confirmed at the moment. Each and every track on the disc will be from its master recording and include its respective music video. Perhaps the most appealing notion is being able to include songs yourself though exactly how they translate into the game wasn't made clear. Yano explained there would be a vocal reduction on your musical import and that they have a "very compelling solution" for getting the lyrics on screen. Lips is being released exclusively on Xbox360 sometime "this holiday season". Source: Eurogamer | |
