Total War: Shogun 2 crashing reported by users

Users have started reporting that Total War: Shogun 2 is not only crashing on their systems, but is affecting their Adobe Flash player as well. The issue seems to be most frequent with ATI RADEON graphic card users.

Unfortunately, none of the gamers attempts to remedy the situation have worked, including updating and using all of the available drivers for their card, playing the game in DX9 instead of DX11, updating audio drivers, uninstalling and reinstalling Flash, and reinstalling the game itself.

Users noticed that the game crashes usually during battles, but crashing during campaigns have been reported as well.

Creative Assembly has advised users they're aware of the issues, posting: "Hi, we're aware of the issue and are looking into it. In the meantime, please feel free to contact AMD and see if there is anything they can do to get the problem resolve on their end."

Let us know if you've been having issues with Total War: Shogun 2.

Such a good game and so many problems. I'm also having major issues playing. System locks up after a few minutes, or the game just goes into a CTD.

I haven't played in a while. Guess I'll wait until after this has been resolved to start again :P

Just when I was itching to buy it... You can get Shogun2 free if you buy it on Gamestop, before April 2nd. I'll have to wait now. Not a problem to wait... no money anyway!!

Two people voted no... then 12 straight people have voted "yes".

Please clear up an issue for me: I don't have the game yet. I'm looking at the picture above; it shows only 20 units... I thought this game gave you the ability to have a 40 v 40 battle?

@novapaddy: The latest patch/FotS adds wider battles, supposedly. Check the patch notes. I however do not play MP (cause my router setup is above my IQ reach; cursed thing) so didn't really checked it.

Look at the percentages! Damn! Though it may be a bit biased cause I think most of the votes came from TW tech support forums where I posted a link. But I'm sure not all are from there.

Yeah, I think you are right, now you remind me: 40v 40 is only for multiplayer. Ah well, I only play single player... damn! Would be brilliant if it were so.

On the router.... I usually find for techie stuff... if you get confused or bewildered, certainly with the latest stuff... just find the reset button, and it will probably auto install and whatever, and work... ??

It depends, if you have a fiberlink connection the ISP might assign a key and password you need to set up from the router controls.
@Kres is it because of port forwarding? That usually affects online games.

yeah it ussually happens after battle or during turn generation

Yes port forwarding. I hate doing that lol. And the new router I got is just total new interface and one that I can't figure out. Just got sick of it. Would rather not play then have to reconfigure it. Thought about asking somebody to do it at one point :p
