11 Bit Studios has announced that their "reverse tower defense" strategy game, Anomaly: Warzone Earth, will be hitting Xbox Live Arcade on the 6th April, almost a year to the date that the PC version was released in 2011.

The game turns the tower defense genre on its ear as the player must protect a convoy with a armored squads from deadly towers along the route.

Anomaly: Warzone Earth received positive reviews for the PC version that was released on the 8th April 2011. Strategy Informer awarded the game an 8.5/10 score in its review.

The developer also released a launch trailer for the Xbox Live Arcade version. Check it out in the video below.
