2K Games has announced Sid Meier's Civilzation V: Gods and Kings is to be released 19th June, 2012.

The expansion pack adds new civilizations, leaders, units, technologies and more. Religion and espionage will return to the series. Players will also get the chance to found the first Pantheon of the Gods, and spread religion across the world, as well as deploying spies in enemy cities to form allies and steal technology.

With nine new civilizations, each with its own leader, and three original scenarios, the expansion looks to be a fairly hefty one.

The extra content will be available in North America on 19th June, and internationally 22nd June, on PC.

It might be able to pull me back into the series...we'll see.

Not me. Haven't played this for a year now, and feel no desire to go back any time soon. Far too many bugs and CTD's as the game was poorly optimised straight out the gate. No patch release notes have provided reassurance that these have been fixed.
2K just after a bit of cash until "Civ VI" no doubt.
