Epic Games' Cliff Bleszinski has revealed that the mysterious Xbox 360 game Gears of War: Exile has officially been cancelled.

Bleszinski revealed this while at PAX East 2012, stating in an interview, "Let's just bury the hatchet now. Gears of War: Exile was an unannounced game that I can't give any details about that has since been cancelled."

Gears of War: Exile was first heard of when Epic filed a trademark for the title. Rumors sprung up stating that the game was an on rails shooter, and that it would be making its debut at E3 2011.

Nothing ever came of it, and no word was spoken of the title til today.
