Sony has announced on the PlayStation US Blog that The Pinball Arcade will be landing on PlayStation Network on the 10th April. The game faithfully recreates all of the classic machines by legendary pinball companies Gottlieb, Stern, Midway, and Bally.

The game will be released as a limited time free trial, coming with four tables including Tales of the Arabian Nights, Ripley's Believe It or Not, Theatre of Magic, and Black Hole.

The player can then unlock the full game by paying $9.99. More tables will be available as DLC, including a two table DLC pack of Medieval Madness and Bride of PinBot for $4.99 that will be available at launch.

The game will also feature cross-functionality with the PlayStation Vita, in that players can transfer their games to the handheld and vice versa.

The game is also due to be released on the Xbox 360 and PC, but no release date has been announced yet.

I enjoyed playing Windows XP's Pinball... now that was a game I used to dominate!

Also, another Pinball game that is great, is Creep Night Pinball.

Nice, I also like Pinball games, but I would like to see the old movie pinballs like Bram Stokers Dracula, The Adams Family and even the less inspiring Terminator 2 ;)

Yeah, The Addams Family, The Simpsons Pinball Party and Back to the Future Pinball are a must.
