Legend of Grimrock patch due this week, dev cost covered "many times over"

Finnish developer Almost Human of old school dungeon crawler Legend of Grimrock should be posting the first official patch for the game sometime this week, addressing some niggles.

Esc key to close that character screen? Yes please. The future of the studio "seems pretty secure" after the tremendous sales for the digital title, which dominated Steam's top seller list.

The indie developer is working on version 1.1.4 of the game, which debuted last week for PC. The current list of patch notes has been published for fans to eagerly await:

•vsync is enabled by default.
•borderless windows are no longer topmost.
•pressing ESC closes character sheet.
•fixed unlimited frost arrow exploit.
•bug fix: topmost menu item don't work reliably in 2560×1440 resolution.
•bug fix: wall text translations are not dismissed when right-clicking.
•bug fix: inanimate objects can be backstabbed.
•bug fix: projectiles go through doors in some very rare cases.
•improved display resolution auto-detection at first launch.
•fixed a couple of typos.
•removed check that disables high texture resolution setting when running low on video memory (some graphics drivers seem to report available video memory incorrectly).

The list of changes "will grow longer" and so gamers should keep an eye on this thread.

"Oh yeah, we’ve had many inquiries on how the sales have been doing and, well, we couldn’t be happier with them! We were sitting solidly as the #1 Steam top seller for a while but it seems like we have now been dethroned… So if you still know anyone who might be able to help us in our struggle to regain dominance, let them know!" they blogged.

First-person dungeon crawling? If it's your thing than Legend of Grimrock might be for you.

It's a fun game. Well made in all simplicity with puzzles and secrets that make you chew your elbows...
Nice and good community around this title on mainly GOG and official site.
