Microsoft and Sony have announced the date and times of their respective pre-E3 conferences, which is when they showcase their plans for the coming year, often either detailing the highlighted software lineup or introducing a new hardware platform.

Microsoft often details a three pronged strategy that includes Windows software, their console hardware and lineup and mobile platforms such as the Windows phone.

Neither publisher will be introducing their next-gen hardware, if reports are to be believed.

Microsoft's conference is scheduled for the 4th June at 10:00AM PST (6:00PM GMT), while Sony's will be on the same day at 6:00PM PST (2:00AM on the 5th June GMT).
