Oooh, love the last idea. Handheld is very simplified - as expected - but really enjoyable. It would be great is one could use the same save game to progress.

I'd also like to have real faces for the multiple blank ones that have always been in place for the majority of players, instead of having to turn to the modding community to download packs (which can actually cost you real cash, before most are taken down and made unavailable).

"Player Lives" would be a bonus, as it is with "FIFA Manager 12" to a certain degree, but might not be popular with the hardcore base. Attending media events has already been listed as an unwanted feature for the hardcore in "FM 2012" so if it was an option this might go down a lot better. I'd certainly go for it, but without player portraits and official sponsorship deals that EA own the rights to exhibiting in-game I'm not sure how authentic it could be.
I have the Android App and while it is cool, it is far from what it could be. So I like this addition you have listed here.
I have played "FM 2011" for many hours, and "FIFA Manager 12" for less though have passed on "FM 2012" as the upgrade from the year I own is not enough to justify the price. I look forward to getting "FM 2013" though.

The 3D engine also needs a thorough overhaul, as "FM 2012" is not that functionally different to the previous year, and in some cases is worse.

Create an SI Petition Marco, and I'll be the first to sign:)
Thanks for this list, btw.

I have a few suggestions.
1. When you are interested in a player and they want first team football/move to a bigger club etc and publicly cry out for you to come get them often the transfer fee is very high. This is fine but then if you wait a year until the price drops which is quite a common thing the player seems to have forgotten his dreams of playing for your club and isn't really bothered about coming anymore. This particularly annoyed me seeing players wanting to join my club only for a price to be 25m for a 3m player then they go and sign a new contract with their club which screws me.

2. Like it says above about the finishing. Sometimes my top quality players show real talent and dribble past 3 players slamming it into the top corner but seriously the amount of times my star striker who has 18 finishing and 18 composure finds himself with an open goal and the screen flashes HOW DID HE MISS THAT!! its crazy the amount of times every game this happens. Top finishers in those positions rarely miss, if ever and this should be reflected. I've even looked into getting better strikers because they simply dont put away sitters but ive looked and the only people with better finishing are Messi and Ronaldo so this is really unrealistic.
3. I also agree with the secondary keeper issue but the way I've managed to get around it is by having a very young keeper with excellent potential and playing him in the league cup and at home against lower table opposition. That usually keeps him quiet.

4. There should definitely be more options with the media. I do every press conference as my assistant has a habit of saying stupid stuff that pisses off my players but more options would be great.

5. Having the game recognise the difficulty of certain games better. As Man Utd I am expected to comfortably win away at liverpool, chelsea and arsenal and that is just crazy talk. Also when I had Rooney, Hazard, De Gea, Vidic, Valencia and Welbeck injured there seemed to be no let up in the games' expectations of a dominant win at liverpool so when I got thumped 4-2 with a 2nd string team there was uproar and no apparent consideration for a severely injured team. This gets very annoying as those games are hard no matter what.

5. All the players who just aren't quite good enough to make it past my reserves, no-one ever wants them and it would be better if teams actually tried to sign them once in a while.

6. When I have a star player on my team and another team wants them they never seem to want to pay the top money I would need to buy someone from another team. I wanted Varane and paid 70M for him but Barcelona want Vidic for 10M? Those offers are laughable but if they offered me 30M I would consider it

7. One thing I would like tweaked slightly aswell is players getting pissed off they are not in the team. Everyone has a role to play and some people are rotation players but complain at not being played enough so this could be tweaked slighty I think. Also whatever visions the fans have of certain players is a bit crazy. I sold Michael Carrick for 2M when he was 33 and the fans were pissed as they thought he was a key player (hadn't played him for a year) and felt he had a lot to offer. I don't know but these things just seem a little off at times. You should have seen the rage from fans when I sold Park Ji-Sung, you would have thought I'd shot their mother!

Anyways I think thats all the little things I would change. I absolutlely love the game just to be clear, I'm in my 5th season with Man Utd and almost have my perfect squad, almost!!

Agreed, Matthew and all valid points (No. 7 in particular). I'd like also like more warning if a player is thinking of walking. Two more additions I'd like to see:

1. Giving your player a real drubbing after a poor performance with more player response options and dynamic results. The options on offer are just too slim.
2. The overall conversation tree needs looking at as too often the personal approach is removed particularly when in a Media Conference and you are adressing questions regarding other teams/coaches/players. If I want to make a match a grudge match, I want there to be no doubt that that's what it's going to be. Instead, all I get is that I either "fear" or am "initimadated".

The only thing i would add to that is the national teams when England are still picking lampard at 37 when you have a midfielder who has had an awesome season its like they never look at who's playing good if lampard or terry was sat in the reserves the national team still selects them its unrealistic.

Multi-player has to be the real need here. All the others mentioned (all valid) are game tweaks really.
While it was great fun having 3 mates round for a LAN party and 'linking up' for FM and all choosing our own teams, life has rudely interrupted us and spouses/kids make it difficult to get away from our respective homes now.
It would be mind blowing to come home from work and log-in to our saved game from the comfort of our own houses and give it some leather.
I know one of the issues always raised with multiplayer was that everyone would want to be Man Utd, Real Madrid etc etc, but surely that be can avoided by having the option for private rooms so you and a pre-set number of friends can log-in and play amongst yourselves, much like Rogue Spear in days gone by aaah.

I would like to add just one thing:

. player interaction should be much better, especially with player's from other clubs, you could like interact a player with 1 year left of contract to not accept a new contract from his club as you'd like to transfer him at a free transfer when the contract is almost ending (you can only approach these players if they have 6 months or few of contract left).

And much more player interacting options, like some already stated here.

I hope FM 2013 becomes a sucessful upgrade to the fm series.
