Ubisoft has announced a new genre for the venerable Might & Magic intellectual property with a free-to-play collectible card game, Might & Magic Duel of Champions. The game is currently in closed beta in France and is being developed for PC and iPad, with crossplatform play between the two platforms.

Might & Magic Duel of Champions will feature hundreds of detailed collectible cards all set in the Might & Magic universe. Players will develop their skills as they are pitted in battles against each other. They will be able to earn new cards and replenish their card supply in the online store.

The official site is www.duelofchampions.com, but the site is apparently not live yet.
