To celebrate the exclusive Xbox 360 release of Steel Battalion: Heavy Armor from Capcom they've collaborated with Mamoru Oshii, an "award winning director" behind Avalon.

Oshii-san was also responsible for Ghost in the Shell. This live-action movie focuses on Polish Vertical Tank pilot Gosha, in command of her own VT squad. It'll release before the game.

We won't just be following Gosha as she goes to war among global factions, but will also explore the"the conflict that exists among those under her command." It's set in 2082.

The Steel Battalion series "depicts a world devoid of computers, where war is waged with rudimentary weapons as new superpowers struggle for dominance. In this low-tech era there is one weapon class that will determine the course of the war – the Vertical Tank. Players take on the role of VT pilot Sgt. Powers as the battle to regain the United States from Chinese occupation begins."

The film will be online before Steel Battalion: Heavy Armor ships on Xbox 360 June 19th in the US, 22nd in EU. Below is a released preview trailer for Gosha from Capcom.
