Frogwares' The Testament of Sherlock Holmes is set for release on consoles and PC this September.

This is the first Sherlock adventure to be specifically designed for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, allowing players to enter the streets of 19th century London through a third-person perspective. A number of puzzles, clue inspections, and crime reenactments will take place, with users encouraged to draw upon their own conclusions.

It seems anyone who dabbled with L.A. Noire will feel right at home here. Remember to bring your quizzical hats, people.

I'd rather re-read the novels, then again if the writing is top notch and the graphics suitably atmospheric it may just work.

Nice, a good game that isn't action based could be just the thing for me and my wife to dust of the Xbox for!
