Black Ops 2 triples BLOPS pre-orders within 24 hours

According to Amazon, Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 has already received three times as many pre-orders as the original game. To make matters more interesting, this is within 24 hours of the pre-order sales going live.

Black Ops was an astonishing success, so Treyarch must be licking its lips for this one. Who knew a spot of horseback riding would get so many people interested so quickly? Pippa Funnell must be considering a futuristic relaunch in her next game.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 is set for release on 13th November on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC.

Not surprising. People bought Black Ops. They want to see what happens next in Black Ops 2.

Still, triple the amount in 24 hours? That's pretty insane if you ask me. I want the game, but pre-ordering so early seems odd.

I am not a major fan of pre-ordering to begin with. I pre-ordered Diablo III only because I want the Collector's Edition, but I won't be doing this again any time soon.

Black OPS 2 looks great, and I recently started playing the game again (Black OPS 1) so it would be great to see what happens next. (I still need to get Modern Warfare 3)
