Star Wars: The Old Republic has reportedly dropped 400K from the 1.7M subscribers the MMO had in February. This was revealed in Electronic Arts' annual financial report, which showed the publisher earned a net annual income of $76M. Last year, EA lost $276M.

The big retail titles for EA according to the report were Mass Effect 3, SSX and Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning, but the publisher stated that some of its biggest earnings were from the digital space, as FIFA 12 earned over $108M in downloads and microtransactions.

In addition, full game downloads were up 76% since last year while EA's Play4Free games made over $2M per month. As a whole, EA's digital revenue was a whopping $1.2B, which constituted a rise of 42% over last year's revenues.

Meanwhile, Battlefield 3 enjoyed over 6.3M gamers online in the month of March alone.

Electronic Arts also revealed that the publisher is investing $80M in 2012 for game development for next gen consoles.
