Rockstar Games have bitch slapped rejected Games for Windows Live for Max Payne 3, they reveal via twitter. Multiplayer is a big thing with crews, which are promised to 'tie-in' to GTA V.

This means that no one wants the hassle of silliness from Games for Windows Live, which also tends to mean hide-and-seek with save games. Rockstar champion their Social Club.

"No, Max Payne 3 for PC will not use Games for Windows Live", twittered Rockstar, in response to a fan. For the most part Games for Windows Live is disliked among PC gamers.

Max Payne 3 releases on Xbox 360 and PS3 May 15th and on PC May 29th.

Hope they haven't decided to use Origin instead :S.

Don't think so since the game is on STEAM - they could however use their own servers or something other sinister still - but hopefully they will not fubar it up. Not going with GFWL is a step in the very right direction IMO.

Luckily, I only use Steam, so this works out perfectly for me.
