Who'll be playing? I'll surely give it ago. Kind of expect the scores to be at least 7+. But who knows... Blizz

Nothing is the new Paladin - the concept is so new so even the mage is different. Still, after playing the open beta trial - I'm not surprised. They do deliver on what they are best - just one more quest... action.

Will get this later on after the first surge is over.

Also the most over-hyped game since "SCII". I hope it's worth the ridiculous wait, but I do not believe any game is. Get over yourselves Blizzard, you are not that special!

*steps down, puts soapbox back under the stairs and shuffles away....*

@herodotus i still wouldn`t say that SC2 was overhyped, but it definetly didn`t need all the time it got to be made. There`s really no doubt that D3 will be good, but the question is will it deserve all the time and money it got? After playing the beta i`m gonna go with no.

No after playing beta Dan? Mhm, well we're about to see what comes out with it. But why no? Nothing new with it I presume?

The only place where SC2 was superhyped was Korea. :p For them, the release of Heart of the Swarm will be cause for a national holiday.

Perhaps "Over-anticipated" might be a bettwer way of putting it a I found to be just a solid RTS, but not outstanding.

When it comes to gameplay it's good, the thing that makes it great is the campaign with a great story. For me it was the same with the first game, I never played a single match online.

@Kres the combat is very solid, however the graphics weren`t that great, and the story was pretty basic, granted this was the beta so who knows, the game might still be worth it`s hype however i still believe blizzard is getting killed by it`s own ego.I remember that in a trailer of SC2 you we`re supposed to have a map of the galaxy and different ways of responding to the people around you but that never got into the game couple that with the fact that heart of the swarm is beying delayed delibarately so that blizzard can make more money my faith in them is shaky to say the least. They are extremely greedy and they`re games aren`t as groundbreaking as they used to be,they better step up their game or they will be in for a rude awakening.

Ok thanks for the thoughts. Frankly, I'm not a big Diablo fan but lately due to the lack of better games to play, I'm somewhat anticipating it. We'll see soon.

Hmm, reading Dan's post I realize that one big point he makes is that Diablo 3 is so good, because so many other games released just doesn't hold the kind of quality no more... :S

Still, doesn't take 20 years to do so I'm sure. I'm afraid they've just taken far too long, and could have been onto "D4" by now. Be intersting to compare it with "Torchlight II"....objectively.

Torchlight II according to other journalists who have played it is more like Diablo II, which is a good thing, mind you.

I have to agree that Blizzard has become greedy, especially since World of Warcraft got released. None the less, I am a major Diablo fan, and I love Blizzard games. Every title that they release (except WoW) I have been excited to start playing. No other games have gotten me this excited, and this has been happening since Starcraft 1998.

Torchlight 1 was so simple and repetitive. Good for an hour or two, or three of play. But ultimately shallow. Will Torchlight 2 be any different? When a game has a lower price then what the standard is, it screams BAD GAME to me, more then a bad review is, or at least the same. I like expensive games :p I bet I will like Diablo 3 for that fact.

Oh Kres, you closet Indie-hater:)
I'm the opposite these days after so, so many failed big title launches in the last 18 months (perhaps not complete failures, but major disappointments). I don't have the disposable cash for expensive games that I used to have, so much choose carefully, and rarely. Then there is the fact that they are very expensive here, when you consider the $90 price tag. No excuse for it, as our cost of living is also very high so in truth our incomes are equittable to anyone else's.
With new release games at $90, DVD's and CD's at $30 it's a crime.

I have to agree with Kres, I mustered some 4 hours out of Torchlight - fun but not that fun.
I thought that Torchlight 2 with my wife could be more interesting and hearing D2 vibes only brings a small warmth to my heart :D

Anyone tried out Path Of Exile? It seems to be f2p.
