Want a taste of Diablo III? Then find yourself a friend who's gracious enough to send you a Guest Pass which will let you experience the first Act up to the Skeleton King with some restrictions.

The sampler lets you attain level 13, but there will be no Auction House access and matchmaking is limited to other Starter Edition free trialers. In one month it will be available to all.

Right now the Guest Passes are only available via someone giving them away, but in 30 days time they'll become open to anyone. Buy Diablo III or befriend someone who has.

For more information on the Diablo III Starter Edition visit the official website. Dibalo III releases tomorrow, May 15th.

Your article title is very misleading, the source article mentions only up to the skeleton king, which is about 1/4 to 1/3 of act 1, same content and restrictions as the beta.

Yeah, it's not even close to all of act 1. It's about 1/4 of it.

Sorry about that slight hiccup, it's been fixed. It's true, you'll only be able to play the first act up to the Skeleton King.

Well, better than nothing for those of us that did not manage to make the beta even run.

The title is still misleading even though the main content has been fixed. :P

I don't quite get their strategy. Interest in the game is usually the strongest at launch. Why are they holding back the demos until a month later?
