Developer VooFoo Games has announced that their gorgeous chess title, Pure Chess, is now available on PlayStation Network for both PlayStation 3 and Vita.

The most striking aspect of the game are the detailed graphics, with a variety of 3D chess pieces, boards, and evocative backgrounds. VooFoo also promises future downloadable content for locations, chess sets and boards.

The game is also blessed with a substantial tutorial and ten difficulty levels, along with both synchronous and asynchronous online multiplayer, the latter playing as a variation of play-by-mail.

Players interested in checking out Pure Chess can visit the official site here.
