Bethesda Softworks has announced the DOOM 3 BFG Edition will be in Fall 2012, which will include DOOM 3 and the Resurrection of Evil expansion. The game will be fully remastered, and will also include The Lost Mission which adds seven hours of new content.

Aside from beng the graphics being remastered for new tech with updated rendering and lighting, DOOM 3 BFG Edition will also feature stereoscopic 3D support, 5.1 surround sound, Xbox 360 Achievements, PlayStation 3 trophies, improved, and a new checkpoint save system. The game also adds the armor-mounted flashlight, changing the flashlight mechanic from the original game.

If that weren't enough, DOOM 3 BFG Edition will also include all of the original DOOM and DOOM 2 games.

The BFG Edition will be released on PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 this Fall. DOOM 3 was originally released on PC and Xbox.

*cough* Sorry, but "D3" remastered. It really wasn't that good the first time around. I mean it was okay, and there was no real competition (like "Dead Space"). Anyway, I thought "Quake 4" was better.

I agree, Quake 4 was better... somehow Doom 3 was a real letdown to those of us who loved first two games.

You are not alone danfreeman... I loved the game, and thought that it was great. Finished the game so many times. I enjoyed playing all of the DOOM games.
