Newcastle-based Ubisoft Reflections, the studio behind Driver: San Francisco, has confirmed they're lending their developer muscle to Ubisoft Montreal on new IP Watch Dogs.

The team has been "attentively watching the reaction" from E3 over the reveal. In fact they're "currently expanding" the team to handle the workload. Watch Dogs is due in 2013.

The new franchise was unveiled during Ubisoft's E3 press event and genuinely surprised with its open world cyberpunk theme, and its badass ability to hack and manipulate a whole city.

"Reflections has been attentively watching the reaction to Watch Dogs at E3," said Reflections' Giselle Stewart.

"The studio is very excited to be working with Ubisoft Montreal on this new IP, and is currently expanding its Newcastle-based team developing for the title. We have openings available for talented Creative Directors, Senior Gameplay Programmers and experienced GUI Artists."

Ubisoft has also confirmed that Watch Dogs will be releasing on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC in 2013.

Looks interesting. I just hope Ubi doesn't ruin the game with their DRM.

I used to be a big Ubisoft supporter (with the "IL2" and "Silent Hunter" franchises particualrly, both of which they have virtually destroyed) but these days for me it's "wait and see" always.

Ubisoft now is a big no-no.
Plain and simple.
