Some guy tweeted to BW about a colorblind mode. When they said they'd look into it, he replied "Thanks, I was only getting one ending!"

Haha, nice one :)

It must suck for people that have been working for Bioware for years right now, the studio that got famous for their quality is getting wrecked at no fault of their own.
First they're rushed into oblivion with DA2 and then even after seeing the feedback they get rushed yet again with ME3.

Damn EA :(.

About the news, it will take a lot more than this to make me excited about another ME game ever again. I know the studio is more than capable but when your bosses are total morons there's not really much you can do.

Heno, U violate the rating of this game. U should not played it at all. And, at last I know the answer why U so love this game...

C'mon guys, you have to laugh. This is so ridiculous it must raise a smile of incredulity, at least if, like me you haven't bought "ME3". I simply don't trust BioWare for quality anymore, less so than EA which is saying a lot.

@ hero

I truly am. :)

It's not nice to laugh at people in misfortune :)
But better that than crying while EA is ruining yet another studio.

I tend to believe it's more BioWare than EA, and I am no EA fanbot believe me.

What do you mean by that? I thought that they were rushed into things with DA2 and ME3. It's kinda difficult to believe that they themselves would not want to deliver quality anymore, of course it's possible but just a bit less likely than the alternative.

BioWare wrote the ending for "ME3", not EA. "Crysis 2" - EA's fault, or Crytek getting sloppy?
I just don't think EA is the 'big baddie' here, and is almost lazily given that label these days.

Actually, in ME3's case, I think it was all but confirmed that the ending was a rush job by Casey Hudson, who didn't even check with the rest of the writing team, due to EA cracking down on production time(it had already been delayed once).

"It’s unclear what happened — time constraints or pressure from EA could have forced the team to rush an ending that should have had more time to develop. The need to make the game as friendly to new players as it was to returning players could have played a factor. The impossible challenge of writing the infinte permutations of player choices into meaningful endings may have been too much. It’s also possible that the writers wanted this moment for themselves."

Intelligent article with I think a clear and objective opinion. The comments following it are interesting too.

From the same article:

Kotaku’s Luke Plunkett puts it well: It feels like walking 100 miles to get lemonade only to get there and be told you can choose between a pair of shoes, some brass knuckles or a cheeseburger.

The reason I believe they went over the writers heads is that literally every other minute of the story is actually very well written. Every goddamn minute of it except for the awful, generic, deus ex machina ending.

I'm looking forward to see what this adds to the ending... I know the ending won't change but it couldn't possibly make it any worse... could it?
